Rolls-Royce Engines

Rolls-Royce offers hybrid power solutions for marine applications, stationary power supply and combined heat and power applications.

The tradition of Rolls-Royce medium-speed engines dates back to 1855 when the original company Bergen Mekaniske Verksted (BMV) was founded. In 1946 the company started to build diesel engines and since then they have sold more than 7,000 engines of which 5,000 are still in operation. Nowadays, the Rolls-Royce Power Systems subsidiary is part of Rolls-Royce plc. The medium-speed gas and liquid fuel engines and generator sets are supplied for a broad range of power generation applications and are operated worldwide.

Rolls-Royce offers hybrid power solutions for marine applications, stationary power supply and combined heat and power applications, combining its Bergen gas engines with renewable energy sources or batteries to reduce carbon emissions.
