NTNU Energy is a driving force for interdisciplinary research, cooperation and innovation in the energy field. By developing strategies, initiating activities and creating meeting points we are helping academic groups to increase research cooperation, innovation and financing. NTNU are a door opener towards the industry and other external actors. We also raise topics and knowledge in the public debate.

NTNU Energy’s work is mainly related to Centres for Environment-friendly Energy Research (FME) and NTNU Energy Transition. The university is a driving force to get even more innovation out of the FME centres, they also take strategic initiatives across the academic environments and offer communication support. The work with the FME centres is often in collaboration with SINTEF Energy.
